For our Fresh n’ Lean reviews, we received 7 prepared meals from the Protein+ Meal Plan including the Salsa Verde Salmon, Sesame Cage-Free Chicken with Bokchoy, Roasted Chicken Thighs with Sumac and Carrots, Garlic Confit Garbonzo Beans and Shrimp, Eggs White and Turkey Bacon and Asparagus, Scrambled Eggs and Potatoes, and Chicken Scramble and Zucchini.
The Protein+ Meal Plan includes meals that contain high-quality animal protein, organic vegetables, and whole grains. These meals are dairy-free and gluten-free.
More information including macros/nutrients, ingredients, and how each meal tasted is below.
This was one of our favorite meals!
The salmon did not dry out in the microwave and we loved the salsa verde seasonings paired with rice, beans, bell peppers, and onions.
This meal was another one of my favorites.
I loved the juicy protein-packed chicken paired with the sesame and garlic bok choy, broccoli, peppers, and onions. The rice was a nice addition (for someone like me who loves carbs).
A quick, healthy, and filling weekday lunch.
The roasted chicken thighs stayed moist in the microwave and had a nice flavor due to all of the warm spices. The chickpeas and carrots were on the firm side, but not unpleasant and definitely better than mushy.
For me, the dish needed a little salt and pepper to bring out all of the flavors.
This dish was very tasty. We loved the garlic sauce with tomatoes. The shrimp did not turn rubbery in the microwave which can happen if you overcook them. The chickpeas, like in other dishes, were harder than expected, but still tasted good.
I’d rather have chickpeas that are a little on the hard side than mushy.
This breakfast was our least favorite of the meals we received.
It was low-calorie, but the dish lacked flavor overall and the texture of the turkey bacon was rubbery.
Scrambled eggs with potatoes is a simple, classic breakfast. To our surprise, the potatoes, which look like white potatoes, were actually sweet potatoes.
I prefer white potatoes, but understand the health benefits of sweet potatoes and ate them up just the same.
This breakfast was just ok. It was packed with protein, but lacked flavor and was one of our least favorite meals.
Fresh n’ Lean currently offers seven different subscription meal plans including Protein+, Keto, Paleo, Vegan Standard, Whole30, Mediterranean, and Vegan Low Carb.
Meals from each plan are available with a subscription or you can order a la carte. When you order a la carte some meal plans are not available, though.

More about each Fresh n’ Lean Meal Plan is below.
Fresh n’ Lean delivers on its promise of healthy, prepared meals for various diets free from processed and artificial ingredients. All of our lunches/dinners from the Protein+ menu were tasty with the Salsa Verde Salmon and the Sesame Chicken with Bok Choy standing out as our favorites.
The breakfasts had to be our least favorite as most were too plain and lacked flavor. These fresh, prepared meals all stayed fresh in the refrigerator for a good 7 days and heated up in around 3 minutes in the microwave.
The only drawbacks to Fresh n’ Lean that we could see were in the A La Carte/One-Time Order pricing as it is more expensive than the subscription and free shipping is available on orders $85+.
Compared to other fresh, prepared meals that we have tasted Fresh n’ Lean lunches and dinners are very tasty and can fit into a number of different diets. Priced between $8-$11 per meal, Fresh n’ Lean is in line with most other prepared meal delivery services.
If you are looking for fresh, healthy, and tasty prepared meals for lunch or dinner Fresh n’ Lean could be a good option.
