We love that PantryFresh dog food is shelf-stable as storage is one of our biggest complaints with other raw and fresh food that we’ve tried. Most have to be stored in the refrigerator and/or freezer taking up valuable space.

Just Food For Dogs has seven healthy, homemade dog treats to choose from. Each treat is made using only whole, human-edible ingredients and does not contain preservatives, additives, byproducts, artificial coloring, or growth hormones.
We tried the Pumpkin Treats. These treats, like the others, are made with whole food ingredients. The pumpkin treats do not contain any animal protein and are therefore a low-protein treat ideal for all dogs. They are also hypoallergenic if you have a dog that is extra sensitive.
Ingredients include Whole Wheat Flour, Pumpkin Purée, Blackstrap Molasses, Safflower Oil, and Cinnamon.
Our Daisy LOVES these treats. Every time I got out the bag she could bump it with her nose like she was trying to tell me “Hurry up, open it already!”. Not only are these treats healthy, with just 5 human-edible ingredients, but they also have a great crunch, and smell wonderful.
At $8.95 for a 5oz bag, these treats are around the same price as similar high-quality pumpkin dog treats. They are a bit expensive to use exclusively for our large breed dog, but they are a great addition to our treat jar as an extra special snack. SHOP NOW >>

Our Daisy loved all 4 recipes and couldn’t wait to dig into her new food at every meal. In addition to loving this food, Daisy tolerated the addition of PantryFresh to her normal kibble with no upset stomach during our trial period.
And while we haven’t been feeding PantryFresh very long, we did notice a difference in stool size and consistency, smaller and more compact, which is a good sign and always welcome when you are picking up after a 100lb dog 🙂
Compared to other premium fresh dog food that we’ve reviewed, Just Food For Dogs PantryFresh is more convenient as it is shelf-stable, can be stored in the pantry, and makes traveling with your dog or boarding your dog while you are away a breeze. We love that the PantryFresh dog food does not have to be refrigerated.
We found that when comparing PantryFresh ingredients with other premium dog food that the quality was similar which is great to see. Where PantryFresh falls short is the price. Compared to other premium fresh dog food, PantryFresh is at the top end of the price range. This could be an issue if you have a large dog like we do or several dogs to feed, or are on a budget.
If you still want the convenience and health benefits of Just Food For Dogs PantryFresh along with the high-quality ingredients, but with a lower cost, we recommend subscribing to Autoship to save 35% on your first delivery and 5% on all future deliveries and/or using PantryFresh as a topper or feed 50%.
For us, feeding 100% PantryFresh is not in our budget for our large-breed dog, but we would be happy to add Just Food For Dogs as a meal topper to Daisy’s regular kibble to give her some of the benefits of this fresh food at a fraction of the cost.
The Pumpkin Treats were also a big hit with Daisy. With only 5 ingredients, these treats were a healthy snack that Daisy was really excited to eat after her morning walk. We love that all of the Just Food For Dogs treats are free from preservatives, additives, byproducts, artificial coloring, and growth hormones. These treats are in line with other natural pumpkin treats that we have seen or slightly more expensive and something that we would buy as a special snack for our girl.
We recommend Just Food For Dogs PantryFresh food to anyone looking for convenient, shelf-stable, and healthy fresh dog food free from preservatives.
